Nomo was founded in 1948 by Georg Åkerberg and Allan Agerberth under the name Nordisk Maskin- och Motorindustri AB. The business began on a small scale, delivering bearings and machine parts by bicycle through the streets of Stockholm.

A lot has changed since then. Today, Nomo is a complete partner for the Nordic industry, offering a wide range of products and services in bearings, seals, power transmission, automation, and industrial maintenance. We are constantly evolving to meet the new and shifting needs and challenges of the industrial world.

With a strong owner in Axel Johnson International – an industrial group with a turnover exceeding SEK 20 billion – we have grown to over 220 employees across more than 20 locations throughout the Nordics. Despite our growth, we retain the commitment, agility, and close customer focus of a smaller company.
